| Getting Involved |
|
We believe that our customers should be at the heart of every thing we do. By getting involved, you can help us to improve services and build stronger communities. Whoever you are, wherever you live, whatever your experience or knowledge, we want to hear from you on any subject relating to how we look after your home or neighbourhood.
We have developed a range of ways for you to get involved at a level that suits you. Here is a brief list of activities that you can get involved in. The list is not exhaustive as we are constantly reviewing our involvement menu.
- Join our Customer Panel to help us monitor performance and make sure that we do as we say
- Join our Repairs & Maintenance Panel to us your views on how we can improve the maintenance service
- Come along to focus groups which are formed to discuss a particular policy, service, or issue
- Take part in telephone surveys and return postal questionnaires
- Take part in estate walkabouts with your Housing Officer
- Review our literature and leaflets to make sure that you are happy with how we communicate with you
Resident involvement is valuable to us, so we aim to ensure that residents feel supported and are not left out of pocket as a result of getting involved. To help you get involved we will:
- Pay you 0.40p per mile if you drive to meetings
- Reimburse your expenses if you use public transport
- Pay pre-agreed child care costs for dependants while you attend meetings
- Provide training
- Provide refreshments at all our meetings
- Help you if you have other needs that might mean you need extra support to get involved
If you have any questions or suggestions on getting involved, please contact Jackie Bonnick, Resident Involvement & Community Development Officer on 0117 944 0549 or e-mail jackie.bonnick@unitedha.org.uk.
