Since its formation in 1986, United Housing Association has expanded across Bristol into Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and most recently North Somerset as there are significant numbers of BME communities (higher than the regional average) in these areas.  In 1997, the Association celebrated its 21st anniversary and by March 2009, the Association owned and managed just over 1,000 homes.
